It’s no secret that Facebook collects an enormous amount of your data and allows companies to use it for advertising. Business Insider uncovered just how much personal information companies actually collect when you download or sign up for an app using your Facebook login. You give them direct access to your very private information “That can often include your email address and phone number, but frequently also includes your current location.” But there’s more: Some apps also use your birthday, your profile picture and your contacts.
